Jacob Wren will give a short talk about his practice in performance and literature followed by a demonstration of the exercise Relay-Interview: a simple game for having unexpected conversations to find out what we think, how we think about it and what we most want to know.
Jacob Wren is co-artistic director of the Montreal-based, interdisciplinary performance group PME-ART, whose collaborative work engages with the struggle and paradox of ‘being oneself’ in a performance situation, with what it means to stand in front of an audience and speak honestly about the things one finds important, at the same time never afraid to show how vulnerable and nervous one might naturally feel in such a situation.
His books include: Families Are Formed Through Copulation, Revenge Fantasies of the Politically Dispossessed and Polyamorous Love Song.
